Why Is Letting Go So HARD?

I have been doing some fall cleaning.

It was time to get rid of unnecessary stuff in my place! My closet and drawers have been over flowing as I have been adding things to them over the past year or two but NOT throwing anything out. Isn’t that the rule? If you buy something new you have to get rid of another piece of clothing? I didn’t have trouble getting rid of clothes I actually wear. Some were worn, others were off trend, and of course their were items that didn’t fit anymore (wish they were too big but that’s not the case).

Then I moved onto my bedtime t-shirts. Shirts I’ve gotten from bars, concerts, promotions, events, etc. They are the shirts I would never wear in public because they are either A. Ridiculous  B. Slightly offensive but I think they are funny or C. JUST NOT CUTE, but I couldn’t throw them out. I understand having a hard time throwing out shirts from the best time of your life or a place you used to work or a run you did…but having a hard time throwing out the one that says “Call Me Maybe” or “It’s not easy being easy”. Those should be a breeze.

Needless to say I put them in a pile next to my dresser in hopes that I will be able to donate these little gems in the next few days, I’m just not sure if I’m ready to part with them yet.

You thought this was going to be about something more dramatic didn’t you?

There’s plenty of that going on in my life right now, but I’ll save that “letting go” post for another day!

Well let's see, Don't think I could live without Bacon, BritneySpears, Hair Extensions, Hallmark,& Ketchup. OH & wine. So I usually post about those things
