Love Is In My Air <3

Valentine’s Day may be over but Cupid’s arrow hit me today. Maybe it’s the sugar high from the amount of chocolate I ate,  the scent of roses in my house (that I got from Whole Foods), or waking up snuggled next to Max & Trace (my 2 kitties). Single on Valentine’s Day may not always result in the most ROMANTIC experiences,  but I’m not one of those Bitter-ANTI-Valentine-I-Hate-Cupid Kind of girls. <3

These stories help make my LOVE POTION Half Full as opposed to Half Empty.

1. My Mom and Dad: In her early teens, my mom moved into a new neighborhood in Indiana right next door to her future husband/my dad. She was the “girl next door”. They became High School Sweethearts until their relationship took a turn and they broke up. He moved on, dated other girls. She moved on, was even engaged to another man, but called off the engagement. She and Dad reconnected. 30 years, 3 kids, & multiple animals later, they are married and more in love than ever. I am so lucky to have them as a model for how a relationship should be.

2. Jewel Etter and Holman Massey: 92 years old and found love again! They both loved, lost, and found love again over Bridge and the San Antonio Spurs. The inspirational Senior Citizens met in grief counseling when their spouses passed away and will marry this weekend!

3. Barbie & Ken: They taught me about matching outfits, dream houses, and sex (Thanks Michael…). Their Break Up in 2004 was devastating. I didn’t want Barbie running off with Blaine…his hair was so overrated and he was NEVER allowed up the pink elevator in Barbie’s Dream House! But I am pleased to say that Barbie changed her status on Facebook to “In A Relationship”.

Lisa McKnight, the vice president of marketing at Mattel, explains. “[Ken and Barbie] were reunited as costars, as you know, on the set of ‘Toy Story 3.’ As we like to put it, they found they were kind of missing each other. … To be fair to them, they have been together for about 43 years, so you know, I think everyone needs a break. So they took a little break and had fun out on their own and were certainly out and about, but I think ultimately, again, they were destined for each other.”

I couldn’t be happier…that is unless Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears decided to reunite!

Well let's see, Don't think I could live without Bacon, BritneySpears, Hair Extensions, Hallmark,& Ketchup. OH & wine. So I usually post about those things
