My girlfriend and former roomie, Allison, lives in Arlington but I have managed to sucker her into my neighborhood weekly, SO I decided that this time…I would come to her. A $25 cab ride (which he was the most amazing cab driver EVER) later I arrived at Whitlow’s on Wilson. The happy hour prices were AWESOME. The bartender was adorable (I’ve got a new crush). But again, it just fell short. So we made our move to Spider Kellys. This is when I realized people in this city (or in the DC, MD, VA area) don’t want to make new friends. They have their groups and don’t care to invite anyone else in it. We we’re standing inches away from 2 different groups of people and obviously looking to have that friendly bar chatter and the folks just weren’t having it. This is when Al (not me) suggested we head back to District 2 (aka my neighborhood). Where your drink is never empty and people enjoy the company of strangers.
Well let's see, Don't think I could live without Bacon, BritneySpears, Hair Extensions, Hallmark,& Ketchup. OH & wine. So I usually post about those things
