I just read on EOnline that the Sriracha Factory in California has officially been declared a nuisance. The air pollution was bothering the residents (Ungrateful Sissy-La-La residents…I bet they use Mild sauces and salsas.) and so Huy Fong Foods has until June 1st to come up with a solution or they may be shut down.
That makes me a sad little rooster!
E! suggested other hot sauces to keep you going, if in fact the factory gets shut down. The suggestions were- Cholulua (meh), Tapatio (YES but not for all items. I love Tap with my Mexican food and my eggs), Franks (Fine for wings but not for my Sriracha needs).
Well the good news is I have already found the solution! While it does not have the SAME taste as Rooster Sriracha, it’s damn delicious and goes on everything that Rooster Sriracha goes on.

I was forced to buy this brand of Sriracha while shopping at Whole Foods. They didn’t have my normal selection and I needed some hot sauce. Now I make sure the house is stocked with both brands of Sriracha at all times. AND LUCKILY- Lee Kum Kee Sriracha is the one I brought to work today so I could take a picture to share with you!
*It’s really good on pizza because it is a little sweeter but still has the heat!
