The Great Quake of 2011: My Emergency Bag

They always say to have Emergency Bags packed just in case of a disaster (fire, earthquake, hurricane, etc.) Something you can grab and go! It should consist of  important documents, medical records, maybe some water and canned goods, a few photos, etc. After The Great Quake of 2011 (Washington D.C. Earthquake), I came back into my place and decided it was a good idea to put one together JUST IN CASE we had a bad aftershock.

In My Emergency Bag:

A hat- in case there aren’t any showers and I can’t do my hair.

A toothbrush

Deoderant- in case the water is shut off and there aren’t any showers

My Prom Queen Crown (Stockdale High 2001! Woop Woop)

My Pirates of the Caribbean Aztec Gold Coin Necklcace (next to the un opened toothbrush)

My Phone Charger…DUH!

Plastic Bag full of the Hair Extensions that I have to have placed back in. I’m going to Charleston to have them redone…disaster or not!

My Kissing Book

My Ipod (Can’t live without Matt Nathanson)

A few of the notes my mom left (they always make me smile)

Picture of my Mom & Dad when they got married (it’s my favorite picture)

Oh The Places You Will Go by Dr. Seuss

My Small laptop (easier to carry around)

Yoga pants and socks (need something comfy)

In the Gucci box is all of my documents (SS Card, Birth Certificate, etc…the real important stuff ha)

My Louis Vuitton Bag & Gucci Clutch

AND FINALLY

FIREFLY SWEET TEA VODKA & PATRON

Call me a lush, but that stuff is going to be better than dollar bills if a disaster strikes! I’m not going to lie, I would be like the folks on the Titanic that downed some of Grandpa’s Cough Medicine before the ship went down. If I lose my balance, I want to blame the booze not the earth shaking again. Judge away, but I know where you’ll be when the next disaster strikes…knocking on my door =)
