You Say Babies…I say I’m Busy!

“One day you’ll change your mind.”
“When you find that special person you’ll want kids.”
“You’re just young…”

These are things I’ve been hearing ALL my life. Well friends it’s been over 27 years and I still feel the same way about the subject of children…I don’t want any. This isn’t something I’m wishy washy about. I knew as a baby that I didn’t want any. While all my other pals were playing house and putting their cabbage patch kids in a stroller, I was leaving Baby Alive in the front yard overnight to find out the next morning the sprinklers came on and Baby Alive was no longer…alive. Sorry B.A. Barbie and the Rockers were calling my name.

*Sidenote: I know I made my Mom buy me one BUT WHY did I want a doll that went to the bathroom? Why did they MAKE a doll that goes to the bathroom?

Whenever babies, bearing children, birth control, diapers, bottles (that’s a lie when I hear bottle I think of wine or beer) get brought up and I break the news that I don’t want children, there is always someone that puts their hand over their heart, gasps, and says something along the lines of, “Noooooo. You don’t mean that. You mean just right NOW you don’t want them.” When I explain that no, I never want children, they try to convince me that I will change my mind. It’s kind of cute how people think they will be the one to sway a decision I made over 15 years ago. I do appreciate the enthusiasm and passion.

With that being said, I would like to honor some FABULOUS folks  that have decided to say

 to the Bassinet.

Cameron Diaz

“I have an unbelievable life. In some ways, I have the life that I have because I don’t have children”

Renee Zelwegger

“Motherhood has never been an ambition. I don’t think like that.”

Ricky Gervais

“I’m the sort of person who has to check three times that I’ve shut the door, so I’d probably stare at a kid all day to check it was breathing.”

Well let's see, Don't think I could live without Bacon, BritneySpears, Hair Extensions, Hallmark,& Ketchup. OH & wine. So I usually post about those things
